Allie is a multi-racial individual of Black and Jewish heritage, who hails from the picturesque region near the foothills of the northern section of the Cascade mountains and Cedar River Watershed. The land she grew up on has been historically stewarded by the Snoqualmie Tribe since time immemorial. From an early age, Allie's deep-rooted passion for safeguarding and nurturing the limited clean water resources in her community became evident.

Following her college education, Allie embarked on a successful career in the tech industry, where she dedicated five years to providing invaluable human resources business partner services to multi-million dollar organizations. Her expertise and strategic support proved instrumental in assisting these companies in navigating the complex landscape of human resources management. Allie's time in the tech industry further enhanced her ability to analyze complex organizational dynamics, implement effective policies, and foster an inclusive and thriving work environment. Drawing from her rich experiences in both the tech and environmental sectors, Allie brings a unique and comprehensive perspective to her endeavors as she continues to champion sustainable practices and advocate for the responsible stewardship of our natural resources.

During her formative years, Allie had the privilege of working alongside her father, Cedric, gaining invaluable skills in land management, carpentry, and plumbing. Complementing this practical foundation, Allie pursued technical rainwater harvesting training with the esteemed organization, Dirt Corps. This organization is committed to democratizing green careers, fostering environmental well-being, community engagement, and sustainable economic practices throughout the Puget Sound region. Furthermore, Allie honed her expertise under the mentorship of Kat's Rain Gardens and Cisterns, a renowned landscaping company.

With her diverse background and extensive training, Allie is equipped with a wealth of knowledge and hands-on experience in promoting responsible water usage, conservation, and ecological balance. She remains steadfast in her mission to protect and steward the precious water resources within her community and beyond.

Hi! I’m a child of the Pacific Northwest, 3rd-generation American, socio-environmental sustainability practitioner, and artist.

I’m passionate about connecting communities to the resources they need to achieve their environmental sustainable development goals. I’ve been spied in action at the UN, the Mayor’s Office at the City of Seattle, and in cleantech, where I met our friend Allie.

A skilled gardener and mixed-medium artist with a background in community development, project management and creative facilitation, Stephany Hazelrigg’s professional journey has been as diverse and vibrant as the landscape she calls home. Born and raised on a long and thin island in the Salish Sea, embraced by the snow capped edges of the Olympics and Cascades and nurtured by the steady stream of the Skagit & Nooksack Rivers, her passion for nurturing life, be it through tending fires, gardens, or communities, has been a guiding force throughout her career.

Now based in the heart of Seattle's South end, beneath the watchful gaze of Mt. Tahoma, Stephany continues to weave her magic, designing, building, and maintaining beautiful and intentional gardens with her cherished clients at her To The Roots gardening and landscaping business, and developing and facilitating experiential and transformational programs with her many creative and resilient communities. Her work is not merely about outcomes and aesthetics; but the process and possibility. It is a testament to her commitment to education, engagement, and sustainable stewardship, reflecting her belief in the power of interdependent collective actions to grow better together, in the garden and bigger ecosphere with her preteen wonder beam by her side.

Stephany joins the Dynamic Waters team as a natural extension of this ethos, in alignment with her values of working with and expanding our collective nature to foster growth and sustainability. She brings a rich tapestry of skills, experiences, and creativity to her role as Project Lead at Dynamic Waters, where she is excited to master the art and science of rain catching. She embraces this new chapter with enthusiasm and curiosity, eager to deepen her understanding and application of rain catchment and contribute her unique perspective to the team's endeavors.

With Stephany, Dynamic Waters gains not only a dedicated team member but also a kindred spirit, ready to collaborate, innovate, and inspire as they strive to create a more resilient and sustainable future for all.

Grant Writer Extraordinaire | she/they

I’m a proud Teochew and eldest queer child of refugee parents displaced by what some have called the "Vietnam War." Raised on the ancestral homelands of the Tongva and Gabrielino tribes, I relocated to the Salish Sea region in 2005 as a first-generation college graduate with degrees in Biology and Environmental Studies.

I’ve embodied their my for marine conservation, service-learning community science, and environmental justice issues by working with various entities including the Student Conservation Association, Olympic National Park, Seattle Aquarium, City of Seattle's Environmental Justice Committee, and the Duwamish River Cleanup Coalition, among others.

In my spare time, I cultivate joy by gardening, cycling, bowling, and being a new chicken parent.
