FAQ
-
The difference is you! The development of your confidence, skills and stewardship in your garden are the primary goals of our coaching program. Coaching sessions are about advice and instruction for you, while maintenance and installation visits are about our team doing maintenance and installation work on your property.
-
Most sessions are in-person. We may periodically meet virtually depending on your garden goals, availability, or inclement weather.
-
Session lengths vary depending on your package, but most sessions last 2-3 hours. Your coach will help you make the most of your time.
-
Following the initial site visit and each subsequent session your coach will update your Calendar and Resource Guide. They will also send you a message summarizing your progress, confirming next steps and sharing tools and resources. Additionally, your coach will reach out to you a few days before each visit to inquire about your progress and plan for work and weather.
-
You and your coach can review the tools and supplies you have on-hand during either your Introductory Session via Zoom or the Initial Site Visit. Your coach will help you assess and plan for any tool purchases, rentals or loans you may need for your particular garden goals. The King County Tool Library Directory is an excellent resource to find your local tool library and try out new tools before making any major purchases.
We highly recommend shopping at local businesses before hitting the big chain stores.
